Missed You!

Welcome back!  A lot has happened since you were last here....  Let's start from the top:

In March I got a job for Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MnSCU) and now work at BSU...

So we listed our house for sale in April.  It was under contract in six days and closed on in a month (lucky)...

For my first four months at MnSCU, I trained in St. Paul, which meant that after we sold the house we moved into a studio apartment in downtown St. Paul for three months.

It was pretty much amazing.  We walked to work every day and had this glorious view out our window:

And views like this near my new office.

Unfortunately most of our stuff moved into storage and looks like this:

And of course we had to start house hunting up north.  After looking at a bunch of unimpressive lake homes, we found this 900 square foot walkout beauty which we couldn't possibly pass up.

I know it is hard to imagine what could be better than that exterior, but the backyard sure gives the front a run for its money...

Dream come true.

Speaking of dreams come true, this guy got himself a John Deere.

And an ACL tear, followed by a June ACL reconstruction.  Also a new office...

He's officially a telecommuter for the beloved Securian.  Where does he telecommute from?  My parent's basement where we just so happen to live.  Why don't we live in the beautiful new house?  Because it is made of poison.  More on that in a later post....

To keep the drama coming, my parents decided to do this with the temporary home they provided us (also my childhood home)...

So we will officially be moving one more time before actually moving into a forever home.  No worries, though, because we have very few remaining possessions to move.

Speaking of possessions, we made a few switch ups...

Out is the new camper we bought last fall.  After all, our new lake life will be like an everlasting camping trip...

In is a new (to us) boat, and of course the necessary (ridiculously heavy) dock...

The only one who might enjoy the lake more than me, is this guy.

Our lives rule.

You can look forward to a wrap-up post for the old house with professional pictures...

After that I will give you a tour of the poison house.  Followed by what our big plans for the place are.

I sure missed you guys.
